Should I stay in downtown Zhangjiajie or Wulingyuan?
Downtown Zhangjiajie is convenient for Tianmen Mountain, the airport and Zhangjiajie West Railway Station, while Wulingyuan is more convenient for visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. If your itinerary includes both areas, we can arrange private transfers between your hotels and attractions.
Can a private driver take me inside Zhangjiajie National Forest Park?
Private vehicles normally provide transportation to the appropriate scenic-area entrance rather than driving through the sightseeing areas inside the park. Your driver can arrange pickup again after your visit according to your itinerary.
Can you pick me up at Zhangjiajie West Railway Station and drive directly to Wulingyuan?
Yes. We can pick you up directly at Zhangjiajie West Railway Station and drive you to your hotel in Wulingyuan or near Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The drive usually takes around 40–50 minutes, depending on traffic and your hotel location. Please send us your train number and arrival time in advance so your driver can arrange the pickup.
Can I visit Furong Ancient Town on the way from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang?
Yes. Furong Ancient Town is a popular stop between Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang, and a private driver makes it easy to visit without returning to Zhangjiajie. Your driver can pick you up from Zhangjiajie or Wulingyuan, take you to Furong Ancient Town for sightseeing, and then continue to Fenghuang Ancient Town later in the day.
Can you transfer my luggage while I visit Furong Ancient Town?
Yes. If you are traveling from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang via Furong Ancient Town, your luggage can normally stay in the vehicle while you explore Furong. After your visit, your driver will meet you at the agreed pickup point and continue the journey to Fenghuang. Please let us know in advance if you have large or multiple suitcases so we can arrange a suitable vehicle.
How many days should I arrange a private driver for Zhangjiajie?
For most travelers, 2–4 days works well. A typical trip may include Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain and Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, with additional private transfers to Furong Ancient Town or Fenghuang. The number of days depends on your hotel location, arrival and departure times, and the attractions you want to visit. We can help arrange transportation around your itinerary.
Can I visit Tianmen Mountain and then continue to Fenghuang on the same day?
Yes, this is possible with good planning. You can visit Tianmen Mountain in the morning or earlier in the day, meet your private driver after your visit, and continue directly to Fenghuang Ancient Town. The drive from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang is usually around 3 hours, depending on traffic and your pickup location. Starting Tianmen Mountain early is recommended so the day does not feel rushed.
